“Reset, refresh, retreat: find your perfect escape” We are so thrilled to have our wellness retreat featured on such a popular & ground breaking podcast “Postcards from Midlife” Listen Here with the brilliant duo @TrishHalpin and @LorraineCandy.
Their wellness retreat started when I collected Trish & Lorraine from the London train ready for a private 2 day bespoke retreat. Before a lunch of homemade tomato & basil soup with goats cheese and freshly made bread we had an introduction to mindfulness & meditation in our treehouse with views of the Kent countryside. After lunch we did yoga on the decking overlooking the swimming pond, listening to the sounds of the birds and the water. Feeling fabulous they then had an outdoor sauna & both loving wild swimming they followed it with an invigorating dunk in the swimming pond. It was then time out for baths and reading a book which neither of them usually have the time to do. Dinner was all homemade and gut friendlytatsic – lentil dhal, sag aloo and greens from our vegetable garden.
The next day we were up at 8.00am for a peaceful cup of tea looking out over the garden and field. Then a warm up and posture analysis in our field then a personal training circuit style session in our woodland exercise area followed by a quick swim in the pond! Stede Court roughies followed for breakfast – oats, nuts, fruit, yoghurt & kefir. We then had a gut health discussion and went off for a mindfulness countryside walk.
They were such lovely guests and their podcast is inspiring and very funny.
